When was Women in Games founded?
Women in Games WIGJ was founded in 2009 as Women in Games Jobs and incorporated as a not for profit or Community Interest Company in 2011.
Where is Women in Games Located?
Women in Games is a remote first based organisation, originally established in the UK.
What does the J stand for?
The organisation is called Women in Games, but our legal name is Women in Games WIGJ. The organisation is no longer called Women in Games Jobs.
How is Women in Games financially supported?
Women in Games is sustained through a range of fundraising activities such as: support from our Corporate and Education Ambassadors, event sponsorship, grants, and charitable donations.
How can I get involved?
There are a wide range of ways to get involved: as an: Individual Ambassador, Corporate Ambassador, or Education Ambassador. Engage in our events and activities which run across the year such as our Monthly Social Gatherings, the Women in Games Festival and the Women in Games Careers Expo. How can I download logos for Women in Games?
Any use of logos, including reproduction, modification, distribution, or replication must have permission first. Please contact hello@womeningames.org with your request.
Do Women in Games pay speaker fees?
Women in Games is a not for profit cic that puts its surpluses back into the community we serve. For our sponsored events we offer a minimum base honorarium of £50 to all speakers, panelists and selected other participants in our events. Participants may wish to donate their fee to the organisation to further our work, which we gratefully appreciate however this is entirely at the individual’s discretion.
In certain circumstances, we reserve the right to supplement this fee.
These circumstances could include, inter alia, situations where the participants are professional speakers or performers, additional T&A costs and marketing considerations.
